As part of the “Establishing the Digital History” project funded by the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research and related achievements, we have recently upgraded the Knowledgebase of Historical Resources in Institutes (khirin). The new khirin prioritizes data infrastructure, enabling simultaneous searches of materials both within and outside the National Museum of Japanese History, while aiming to establish stable data links. For details, please refer to “About khirin (https://khirin.rekihaku.ac.jp/about).” In conjunction with this renewal, we have integrated the khirin-c catalog system and the khirin-a image system. All data previously stored in each respective system has been consolidated here and is available for viewing within this system through fiscal year 2025. Furthermore, links to the dataset (khirin-r) and experimental services (khirin-labs) have been added at the bottom of the homepage. The khirin system will continue to provide stable access to collection information while also advancing the development of experimental systems for Digital Humanities.
