| site_overview | 尾上町八幡崎の西端舌状地、八幡宮神社の立地する周辺が遺跡で土師器、須恵器の採集される台地と縄文晩期大洞B式から同C1式までを包含する傾斜地及び水田から構成される。尾上町教育委員会は昭和36年より3ヵ年計画で発掘、慶応大学の参加を得て「低湿地遺跡の植物質遺物の研究」を主テーマに調査した。規模の大きい泥炭層遺跡として注目され木製品や種子等が多く発見されている。 |

| current_condition | 縄文晩期。小さい球形の完形壺型土器で、全体に灰黒色を呈し一部灰白色のところもある。口は繰口様に作り頸部の付根で一段落ちこんで肩部につながっている。焼成は普通だが表面全体に無数の微細なひびが入っており、剥落進行中と思われるので、持ち運びには注意を要する。底は平で安定が良い。口縁に少々、胴部に1ヵ所の損傷が見られる。 |
