| site_overview | 会津若松駅の東北方1.3K の地点に所在する高さ30m、長さ400m×200mの洪積期残丘頂上に造られた97mの東北第3位の大きさの前方後円墳である。調査の結果、後円部の中央より長さ8mのも木棺が2ヶ出土し、内部より多量の遺物が発見され東北最古（4世紀後半）のものとされた。現在国史跡となり保存されている。 |
