| site_overview | 向野地区の南から北東方に走る谷水田の両岸低台地に位置する。A、B、C3地点に分かれ、A地点から埴輪窯址9基のほか、多数の粘土、採掘坑、工房址、住居址がB、C地点からも各2基の窯址と工房址、集積場などがみとめられた。窯址は大半が半地下式ののぼり窯形式に属し、工房址などから原料粘土、日常容器（土師器）などが多量に出土している。 |

| current_condition | B地点の2基の窯址の後方には、1基の工房竪穴遺構と3～4個所の粘土採掘坑と埴輪集積場址と考えられる遺構が発見されている。窯址から東へ15mばかり距ったところにかなり多量の埴輪片がまとまって発見された。ここでは焼き損じたものや、焼成後破損したものを集積したもので、ほとんど円筒埴輪で占められており、人物、形象などの埴輪はきわめて数がすくなかった。 |
