| site_overview | 遺跡は栃木、茨城両県を境する八溝山地の西南端部にあり、小貝川と桜川とが合流する標高100m遺跡直下の沖積地面からの比高およそ25mを測る丘陸の頂部に立地する。市貝町統合中学校建設に伴い、ブルドーザーで表土削平中に発見された縄文時代中期の遺跡である。昭和47年12月から昭和48年1月までの14日間発掘調査を実施、本県中期特有の袋状土拡が60個ほど楕円形に群在して発見され多くの土器も検出された。 |

| current_condition | 土壙34出土のプレ加曽利EI式土器である。
口縁部が直立するもので口唇近くは縄文帯（RL）となっており竹管によって交互刺突が行われた鋸歯文が二条めぐる。この口縁部文様帯のうえに「★」字状や円弧の隆線が付され縄文が施されている。胴部にも縄文が丹念に施されている。
胎土焼成良好。
