| site_overview | 関山貝塚は岩槻支台、綾瀬渓谷の左岸に位置している。遺物の分布範囲はかなり広く、市営浄水場付近から県道大宮～栗橋線のあたりまで散布している。貝塚は新発見の2ヶ所を加えて、計5ヶ所が原状を保っている。本貝塚はいうまでもなく、前期関山式土器の標式遺跡であるが、昭和46年の調査では貝塚を伴う1号住居址より多数の土器が発掘され、関山Ｉ式の編年を決定づけてくれた。 |

| current_condition | 四単位の波状からなり、波状部の口唇は更に小さな山形状を呈している。文様は半截竹管によって施されており、文様帯の下をかぎる沈線上には補修孔がみられる。この種の土器は大部分焼成の良い整形のやき届いた土器である。胴部にはコンパス文を4段押捺している。縄文は0段3条のL「RR」と0段多条のR「LL」で羽状としている。 |
