| site_overview | 遺跡は多摩丘陵の北東部、多摩川の支流の乞田川流域にある。遺跡の立地は、この乞田川に流入する必従谷により取り残された小支丘の南側緩斜面。多摩ニュータウン建設予定地内のため、昭和41年3月から同年7月にかけて調査を実施したが、結果は先土器－縄文－歴史時代と大きく3つの時代が重複する遺跡であることが確認された。多量の撚糸文系土器（井草I～夏島式）とその住居址の発見により注目されたが、他に先土器時代の石器、縄文時代前期（黒浜式）・中期（勝坂式）の住居址、歴史時代の五間二面堂址がある。 |
