小瀬が沢洞窟第3層出土。大形、厚肉のシャール・スタインの剥片を用材とした局部磨製石斧の先端～胴部の残欠。
刃先は、「丸刃型」に属し、かなりの磨減性がみられる。また中央稜線の左～右側辺は、大ぶりの剥離によって打調整されているが、それは「浅剥離」である。裏面はやや粗い剥離痕を残すが、かなりの磨減がみられ、平坦性をなす。そのため刃先は片刃的に作出される。
