| site_overview | 柴山湯の南西畔、片山津温泉の南1kmの台地上にあり、東西200m、南北450mの範囲に拡がる4世後半から5世紀中葉に亘る玉造集落跡。昭和35年の発掘調査で玉造工房址を設けた竪穴住居跡、6棟を完掘。翌36年開田工事には20戸分を確認している。本玉造集落で作られたものは管玉・鍬形石・車輪石・石釧等である。 |

穿孔は常に研磨工程を経たものについて行われる。
・第1段階（1～3）上・下面の中央に小さい凹痕をもつ、凹痕は穿孔の際の錐ブレを防ぐためのものである。
・第2段階（4～28）穿孔は上下両方から行われる。穿孔は途中で中止したもの、喰い違ったものもある。また（36）は大形品であるが上下面の周縁を研磨している。 |
