かにの爪形の中心飾りの左右に、三反転する均整の唐草文を配す。胎土は砂粒を含むがよく、焼成よし。黒灰色を呈す。岩倉幡枝瓦窯、東寺出土品には、同笵で緑釉のものが知られている。
九世紀の中頃までのもの。平安時代前期。
