外区珠文帯中に「西」の銘
胎土に砂粒多い。焼成は硬く、色調は灰白色
◆字形の中心飾りの左右に三反転するシャープな唐草文。
複弁8葉蓮花文軒丸瓦で「西寺」銘をもつものと一対であろう。
平安宮豊楽院跡でも同范瓦の出土を見ている。
