| site_overview | 尾根の丘尾を切断して築いた全長207mの前方後円墳で、いわゆる柄鐘式の長い前方部を持つ、葺石と壺形土器を外部施設を持ち、後円部には狭長な竪穴式石室を持ち、内面は赤色顔料が塗られている。副葬品は盗掘で残片がのこっているのみである。奈良県の4世紀後半の代表的な前方後円墳である。 |

| current_condition | 石室は古墳の長軸にそって後円部に造られた巾5.4m長さ10.6mの長方形墓壙の中に作られ安山岩を小割扁平としたものを小積みとしている。上部には花崗岩、安山岩の大形天然石を蓋石としている。内面には多量の朱彩がある。 |
