・裏面に「弘治□年、源二□」と判読される文字があり、かつこの絵馬ははじめて社堂壁面から取りはずした時の状況から、従来は「弘治」（1555～1558）の物として紹介されてきているが、すこぶる疑わしい。
・南部小絵馬（藤右エ門の小絵馬）描法の発達過程から考察するとき、正徳5年（1715）頃の作と推定される。（調査者の考證） |
