謙信は、天文２１年（１５５２）２２才で縦五位下弾正少弼に任ぜられ、上杉を称した。 この文書は、同年５月２５日付、成悦（上杉憲政）から長尾越前守（政景）に宛てた書状にはじまり、上杉関係の書簡２５通を巻子に仕立てたものである。
最後の大閤婦人高台院（彌ねね）から謙信の嗣子景勝に宛てた歳暮の祱儀の礼状は「よねさは中納言さま」と宛名が書かれ、関ヶ原合戦後、慶長６年（１６０１）８月米沢轉封のあとに至っている。 |
