寄木造り、裳先、膝部の衣文は彫りが深く、いわゆる翻波式の名残りをとどめている。藤原期様式をもつ地方作と考えられる。眼、眉、口ヒゲ、唇、胸の瓔珞等は江戸時代に画かれたものか。また同じところに脇立とみられる菩薩立像一躯もある。両佛像とも鼻先を欠くのは、藥師信仰により信者によって削りとられたものと思われる。 |
