| Form / Shape | 石英粗面岩の大岩壁に線彫りされたものである。
宝冠を頂き、智挙印を結ぶ大日如来坐像である。造顕は不詳で、鎌倉時代かそれより少し遡る時代と云われるが相好等よりみて平安時代の特徴を具えたもので本邦屈指の大仏である。本像右上に奥の院の洞窟があり そこから発見されたものの中に建保五年（1217）銘銅版曼荼羅がある。 |
