神山致道は宇都宮藩浅野氏より日光の神山家に入り神山家世職の日光奉行御用達の絵方棟梁となる。たまたま江戸の金工土屋国親（五世）が神山家に止宿した際に彫金の技を学だという。更に古人の整の後を尋れて研讃各流を極めた。その作品に日光に因んだものが多い。野州の数少ない金工の一人である。
安政四年（1857）11月12日没 享年72才 |
