表面に「水陸運輸中牛馬分社」と記されている。馬背を利用して荷物を運搬するのが中馬である。五河岸の船問屋は川船運送の口銭とりが本来の業務であるが、追々発着荷物の陸送にも手を拡げた。これは明治時代になって問屋仲間が会社組織によって中牛馬会社を経営したときの看板である。 |
