| Form / Shape | 桧材寄木造、挿首、玉眼嵌入、布張り、胡粉地彩色。
刀法は固さを加えて稍々類型化の傾向を示すが、印象的な国師のナデ肩に個性味があらわされている。
禅僧像の一般的な形として椅子の上に禅定坐を組み、法衣を垂らしている爽快な眉目に峻厳な気魄を示し、枯淡な風貌にも禅僧の面目がそのばれる。
頭部内面の墨書が首枘にうがたれた孔からうかがわれる。なお、胎内に天保補修の板記がある。 |
