「修禅寺伽藍古図」というよりは修禅寺を中心に描いた江戸時代の修禅寺村絵図といったほうが正しいように思われる。
それにしても修禅寺がかつて焼失した以前の伽藍の配置を示すものであろうとみている。
また村絵図とには修善寺立像といわれる独鈷、坪、中石、児湯などの場所や修善寺紙で有名な紙不御の名も見えている。
