天明年間方丈再建のとき円山応挙の紹介で正宗寺に滞在し描いたものという。襖絵用に描かれているが使用されないまま掛幅装となっている。蘆雪の特色よりも落ちついた伝統的な筆致である。
右より4幅がやや小型で1組、左より4幅がやや大型で1組になっている。大型のものが主題で人物も大きく描かれている。 |
