| Form / Shape | 一向上人は暦仁二年（1229年）筑後に生まれ、文永11年三十六歳のとき踊念仏を始めたといい弘安六年（1283年）輓馬の宿に杖を留め蓮華寺を開き、当時で弘安十年に没したという。全体に痛みはあるが図中向かって右側に上人像を描く。草庵の軒下であろうか左手に数珠をかけ両手を合尊して立つ姿を写実的に描いたもので、一向上人の晩年の姿のようである。上人像の左側に「南無阿弥陀仏」の金泥書を大きく書きいれる。おそらく師の没後に製作された肖像画の一例であろうが鎌倉後期に遡る時宗肖像画として貴重なものといえよう。 |
