| Form / Shape | 神像彫刻は平安後期の末葉より中世に入るに従い簡素にして象徴性に富む小像が多く見られるが、この神像は珍しい写実性に富んだ像で顔は姫神としての豊艶な風貌を見せ、唇にはほのかな笑みさえ感ぜしめる。胸はふくよかな脹みを見せ、全体の均衡もよく、彫線如何にもなだらかな変化を見せてそれでいて象徴的な神性を軽減しない神像で製作期は平安後期末葉と見られる。 |
