600巻のうち奥書を有するもの38巻あり、寛治8年（1094）栄治2年・康治元年（1142）承元4年（1210）のものがあるから藤原時代から鎌倉時代にかけて書写されたものである。淡路における貴重な文化財の1つであるといえるであろう。
