長沢芦雪（宝暦４年・1754～寛政11年・1799）の作品で蘆雪寫の落款と魚印を有する。芦雪は天明6年（1768）から翌７年にかけて師応挙の名代として南紀の寺々を訪れ数多くの作品を残しているが、高山寺へは同寺所蔵の「三番日含」によれば天明７年（1767）２月中旬に立ち寄っている。この作品はその時のもので、すなわち芦雪３４才の作品であると考えられている。 |
