| site_overview | 関山貝塚は岩槻支台、綾瀬渓谷の左岸に位置している。遺物の分布範囲はかなり広く、市営浄水場付近から県道大宮～栗橋線のあたりまで散布している。貝塚は新発見の2ヶ所を加えて、計5ヶ所が原状を保っている。本貝塚はいうまでもなく、前期関山式土器の標式遺跡であるが、昭和46年の調査では貝塚を伴う1号住居址より多数の土器が発掘され、関山Ｉ式の編年を決定づけてくれた。 |

| current_condition | 波状部4コからなる。振子状の突起を頂点として、平行沈線が各波状部の突起を結んでいる。文様帯の内部は隆起線文下がV字、それを鋸歯状文と円形コンパス文がつないでいる。さらにその間を刻み目文がくまなく加えられている。文様を限る平行線上には貼付文がつけられている。胴部は0段3条のR「LL」とL「RR」、ループ文、コンパス文の併用で飾っている。なお、口唇上には半蔵竹管による爪形文が刻まれている。 |
