| site_overview | 片瀬海岸に注ぐ境川左岸に位置し、現在の河口から約4km上流にある。
相模原台地が南方相模湾に向かって舌状に延びた洪積台地上の西縁にあり、標高約50m、境川水面との比高は約40mある。境川に向う西崖は、緩漫な傾斜で、その中腹に遊行寺があり、西富貝塚も遊行寺の敷地内に所在する。貝層は小規模で、5ブロックあり、最厚部で20cm内外である。貝層上は堀之内式、加曽利B式、貝層中・貝層下は堀之内式を出す。竪穴住居址2、敷石遺構2を調査 |

| current_condition | 昭和34年の調査で107点、昭和36年の調査で39点の土器片錘が出土している。形態的には長方形・楕円形・円形などの形に土器片の周縁を研磨し、両端に刻目を入れて、糸掛けにしてある。完形の主要なもの点を示す。形式的には、堀之内式土器片と、加曽利Ｂ式土器片を利用したものがある。 |
