| site_overview | 善光寺東縁山塊のうち、奇妙山と尼巌山の山麓傾斜面と支脉屋根上および扇状地上に立地する古墳群で500余基を算える。墳形は大部分が円墳であるが、尾根上には数基の前方後円墳も存在する。この古墳群の特徴は積石塚の構築を為すものが多いことで、内部構造には横穴式石室に混って合掌式石室をとるものも見られる。大部分は早く盗掘され副葬品の内容を明らかにすることはできないが、6世紀後半から7世紀末までにかけてのものが太半を占める。 |
