| site_overview | 調査地は平安宮推定大極殿跡の西南に位置し竜尾壇の西端に位置する白虎楼付近と想定された。昭和48年3月に行ったこの地（二条保育園園庭）の調査では約5米四方のトレンチ全体が大きな瓦溜のほぼ中央にあたり、白虎楼など顕著な遺構は検出できなかった。しかし、焼土と共に出土した遺物は緑釉瓦を中心として資料的価値の高いものが多かった。 |

| current_condition | 単弁八葉の内区花弁を持つ、蓮花文というより、宝相花といった印象をいだかせる文様で、中期的な特色をよく現わしている。中房は界線のなかに凸帯をつくりだしているが蓮子はみられない。いわゆる1本造りの技法によるもので筒部から瓦当裏面にかけて連続した布目痕が残っている。緑釉は、部分的にタマリがみられるが、全体に淡色を呈している。 |
