| current_condition | 石棺は阿蘇溶岩の切石でつくり棺蓋は寄棟造の家形を呈する。その平入り方向に幅広い入口を設け、その下際には高さ約35cmの框石を設ける。石棺の幅2.50m奥行 cm、高さ1.50mを有する。棺の奥壁には三区にわたる梯子文で囲んだ枠の中に、おのおの図形を異にした直弧文の一種である鍵手文の組合せ文様を線刻し、その上を赤・白・緑・青の四色に塗りわけている。棺の奥壁中央には刀架状突起を四個あらわし、うち三個は造り付にし、一個は「ほぞ」穴を彫りさし込式につくる。棺の両袖石にも奥壁と同系の鍵手文を、梯子文で囲み、同様な彩色を施こす。軒まわりは厚さ18cmの平板状につくりその表面に鍵手文を線刻してならべ、屋蓋の正面側にも三角形連続文と帯状隆帯文をあらわす。 |
