| site_overview | 弥勒寺跡は宇佐神宮の境内、現在の神宮庁の付近にあった同宮の神宮司で、明治初年の廃仏棄釈によってまったく破壊された。
昭和29～35年に実施した発掘調査によって、金堂、講堂、東塔、輪蔵などが確認された。伽藍主軸の方位はN22°E、寺域は500尺四方と推定されている。 |

| current_condition | 中房・蓮弁・珠文帯・周縁より成る。中房は低く輪郭がない。内部に1＋4＋8の蓮子を配する。高く盛り上りのある蓮弁は中間に楔形小葉をもっている。圏線によって画された外区は24個の珠文がめぐり、さらに圏線がめぐる。周縁は、ほとんど蓮弁および珠文の高さと同一でやや細い。中房、蓮弁の比率は、中房が蓮弁のある内区の直径1／3よりわずかに大である。金堂跡出土。 |
