| Form / Shape | 木像は寛永十一年（1634）7月 本多富正が将軍家光に願い出て許可を得、京都の佛師に作らせたものであり、徳川秀忠像結城秀康像とともに通称三木像といわれている中の1つである。
寄木造の手法を用い束帯姿の坐像である。玉眼を使用し漆で彩色されている。江戸期の肖像彫刻に見られるように束帯の袖を大きく左右に拡げ、肩を強調した様式がされているが、まだ前代の画影を残し画相は写実風である。 |
