| Form / Shape | 新町篠井線から一段登った丘の上を幾段にも平らにして建てられた真言宗豊山派の寺院である。県道から一段登ってやや広い地域に仁王堂が置かれ、さらに樹木に囲まれた急斜面の石段を登った平地に本堂庫裏土蔵等が建てられている。本寺の所有する金剛力士像二体は仁王としては大きいものではないが、堂々たる威容を具えた鎌倉時代の逸品である。 |

| Provenance | 弘仁年間空海当地巡鍚の折、自ら仁王像を作り一庵を建立安置、のち天正年間郷土大日方勘助、秀慶を迎え寺堂を建立し、秀秘山連台院長勝寺と称したと伝えている。 |
