| Form / Shape | この仏像は三修上人が開いた長尾護国寺のあとといわれる小堂に安置されている。そのお堂は惣持寺からの山の中徒歩１０分位の位置にあって奥の院昆沙門堂と呼ばれている。正面の厨子の中に天部形立像が納まり、その厨子前に昆沙門天像がお前立ちのように安置されている。寺では両像とも昆沙門天とよんでいる。お前立の昆沙門天は絵材一木造り、両肩部ではぎ、背ぐりは大きくほどこされている。腹部の獅歯みの部分などを中心にして虫害による損壊がいちじるしいが全体的に堂々たる躰躯を示し、１１世紀頃の優品とみてさしつかえあるまい。邪鬼は後世のものである。 |
